On December 21, 2023, the City of Greater Sudbury conducted fresh invitation rounds as part of the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP) Program. In this latest round, Sudbury reviewed 42 candidates, encompassing 38 applicants through the Conventional Stream, one candidate in the Limited Stream, and three individuals through the Francophone Stream.
In the previous year, Sudbury extended invitations to a total of 154 applicants. Since the inception of the program, the city has recommended approximately 670 individuals under the RNIP. As of now, the city has assessed 587 candidates in the year 2023.
