Canada’s immigration sector is undergoing a new phase of transformation driven by artificial intelligence. Technology is increasingly helping immigration professionals work more efficiently as well as communicate with clients.
On October 23, 2025, CBGA participated in AI Shift 2025, a national conference organized by the Canadian Association of Professional Immigration Consultants (CAPIC-ACCPI), which brought together immigration and industry professionals to discuss how AI is reshaping practice while preserving its human foundation.
Industry experts demonstrated how AI tools, including ChatGPT, can help streamline case preparation, document drafting, and compliance with CICC and Section 91 rules, while maintaining empathy and trust as core principles of client service. Speakers also explored how government agencies are using AI to improve efficiency and risk assessment, highlighting the growing need for consultants to understand how automation interacts with regulation.
With over 100 attendees, the conference served as both a learning and networking platform. CEO of CBGA, Fedor Belomoev, took part in discussions on responsible AI integration, emphasizing transparency, professional accountability, and the human element behind every immigration case.

CAPIC’s ongoing work in education and advocacy continues to shape the profession’s response to technological change. The conference built on this foundation, offering practical perspectives on how consultants can integrate AI into daily practice while maintaining the integrity and trust central to the profession.
CBGA was proud to sponsor and take part in this important event, contributing to the dialogue on how responsible innovation can enhance both professional standards and client trust.
Through shared priorities and collaboration, Canada’s immigration sector is well prepared to navigate this new era of technological transformation — one guided by transparency, ethics, and a strong human focus.
