CLIENT: EcoFeed
INDUSTRY: Aquaculture, Technology Solutions
The Challenge
In 2022, EcoFeed, a leading aquaculture technology company in Korea, was looking to expand into the North American market. Ecofeed had proprietary fish feeding technology that considerably reduced costs for fish farms. However, it would be difficult to enter the competitive North American market and establish local operations, while producing everything using EcoFeeds unique technology and on boarding a local fish farm customer base.
Our Approach
Canadian Business Growth Advisors (CBGA) worked with EcoFeed to create a specialized market entry strategy that targeted the specific needs of the North American aquaculture industry. Our team worked with EcoFeed to develop a program for launching production facilities in Canada, and we supported EcoFeeds clients to adapt this new technology with minimal disruption.
In addition to a market strategy, CBGA provided EcoFeed with essential support in consumer insights, market research, and other actionable report generation. We also developed a digital marketing strategy to position EcoFeed's products as a premium offering for cost effective fish farming solutions, with the plan to improve EcoFeeds footprint in the North American aquaculture industry.
The Solution
CBGA also provided essential services for EcoFeed's senior management in reference to immigration and business documents. Specifically, our support involved these senior leaders obtaining Letters of Support, Work Permits, and Residence (PR) status so they could effectively oversee EcoFeed's operations in Canada. CBGA's full support allowed EcoFeed to advance its business strategy and permanently settle in Canada successfully.
Impact and Results
EcoFeed's Canadian launch was complete with CBGA's strategic support, as EcoFeed introduced its innovative value proposition with local fish farms in Canada. This has provided cost savings for many of the fish farms, and improved their products' quality and efficiency. Through market analysis, consumer research, and digital marketing strategy, EcoFeed has established itself in the North American market, and is well set and positioned for growth and innovation.
