CLIENT: IonTrack
INDUSTRY: Biotechnology / Healthcare Technology
The Challenge
IonTrack, a leading provider of novel saliva analysis technology, was looking to enter the North American market. IonTrack is developing unique products targeting new applications for health monitoring and diagnostics, in a non-invasive way. The challenge, however, was that entering a highly regulated and global market is complicated, and IonTrack needed to address some complicated immigration and market-entry barriers. The company wanted help with obtaining approval through Canada's Start-Up Visa, as well as advice for how to best build strategies allowing for sustainable growth and investment attraction.
Our Approach
CBGA worked together with IonTrack to deliver a full-service suite that married regulatory and strategic needs. First, we facilitated the process of getting IonTrack approval from a designated organization, allowing the business to lay its foundations in North America under the Canadian Start-up Visa program.
Alongside immigration support, CBGA undertook an in-depth market potential and competitive analysis of the product, particularly: (i) the health-tech landscape and (ii) potential target customers. We consulted with IonTrack to develop a marketing & product promotional strategy, whereby IonTrack would emphasize a more targeted strategy on the unique benefits of the saliva analysis technology. CBGA also provided on-going consultation services for attracting investment in the business, preparing IonTrack for securing funding and growing the business globally.
The Solution
CBGA's expertise and guidance helped IonTrack navigate the complicated Canadian Start-up Visa immigration system, while at the same time rolling out its product for the North American market. The comprehensive analysis of the market and tailored marketing strategies provided by CBGA allowed IonTrack to take advantage of their competitive position, positioning it for entry to the North American market. CBGA also worked with IonTrack on its investment pitch and long-term development and operational plan.
Impact and Results
With support from CBGA, IonTrack not only secured its entry into the Canadian market but also developed a launching pad for further growth throughout North America. IonTrack was able to leverage its saliva analysis technology to broaden its applications and attract new opportunities and markets. CBGA's market analysis and strategic advice gave IonTrack the platform for differentiation in a crowded field, and our investment counsel secured additional resources critical to scaling their solutions.
The collaboration helps position IonTrack as a promising entrant in the biotechnology field with significant potential within the healthcare technology space.
