CLIENT: ProMap
INDUSTRY: Mobile Applications, On-Demand Services
The Challenge
In 2023, ProMap - a company providing quick, affordable repairs through a mobile application - aimed to expand into the challenging North American marketplace. Its objectives were to simplify the process for consumers to find qualified repair specialists and to do this so it remains affordable. ProMap faced hurdles to scale its platform and had to work through Canada's market entry and legal and operational challenges.
Our Approach
Canadian Business Growth Advisors (CBGA) signed a partnership agreement with ProMap, to assist in its expansion into the Canadian market. The initial step was to design a comprehensive partnership program that would allow ProMap to connect with local service providers and bundle services along with the ProMap platform, additional to what may already be offered through its own platform. We also developed and provided our extensive market analysis to assist ProMap in understanding North American consumer behaviors in relation to its app function, and how best to promote its launch.
Furthermore, CBGA offered ProMap, digital marketing solutions to support consumer acquisition and in-app engagement. Our team also performed extensive research into user preferences, enabling the company to adjust app functionality in order to cater for the Canadian market, to improve the app’s usability and consumer usage.
The Solution
CBGA enabled ProMap to enter Canada by establishing partnerships with local sponsors and service providers which helped ProMap lay down a support network. CBGA also helped by advising how to access startup funding and funding sources (including assisting in applying for government grants and startup capital).
In addition to helping ProMap with building its business, CBGA provided ProMap with significant support with the legal documentation including work permits, visas, and permanent residency applications for ProMap's key team members. This ensured that ProMap's key team members were able to relocate, and that ProMap met its legal obligations for its North American operations.
Impact and Results
CBGA's substantial support and guidance helped ProMap to successfully launch its app in Canada and qualities of life continues to grow its user base. ProMap's partnership program with CBGA, plus targeted digital marketing initiatives, and financial planning, has enabled ProMap to scale effectively. ProMap is now well-positioned to expand its service offerings as it continues to develop its position in Canada and the North American market while engaging customers with data-driven insights.
